With 26 years of experience across a variety of roles, Zuko is a driven aviation professional whose career growth has been shaped by a passion for training and development, strong interpersonal skills, and extensive leadership and management expertise.

He is a certified aircraft maintenance engineer with a specialisation in avionics and holds numerous aviation industry credentials as well as advanced executive and leadership development certificates. He is also completing a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Administration.

Over the course of his career, the majority of which was spent at South African Airways, he has served in multiple senior roles including Head of Training, Manager: Basic Training, Senior Aviation Technician, and Quality Assurance Officer.

He also served as Chairperson of the Joint Aviation Awareness Programme (JAAP), a state-initiated entity that unites aviation stakeholders to drive the transformation of the industry. In this role, he championed efforts to ensure that previously disadvantaged youth have access to education, awareness, and career development opportunities within aviation.
